Nappy Roots at the Pinhook w/ Adisa McKenzie & OC from NC ~ Sunday May 29th

Sunday, May 29th, Nappy Roots at The Pinhook
Doors at 7pm, Show at 8pm

One of the best-selling and most successful hip hop groups of all time, Nappy Roots entered the music scene in 1998 and they have remained real, humble, talented guys with inherent, undeniable southern swagger. After the international success of their album Watermelon, Chicken, & Grits, selling over 3 million albums, the members of Nappy Roots were flying high while still acutely aware of how far it could be to the bottom should they fall. It is that practical and genuine presence of mind that helped them sustain touring as a group these last ten years. Building a vastly loyal fan-base nationwide, fans and friends can be used interchangeably when referring to their army of followers.

In an economically recessed climate, Nappy Roots has joined the rest of the nation in trying to understand and work through financial and emotional struggles. No stranger to challenges, this four-man collective from Kentucky tackled their obstacles and, in the process, their self-honest work emerged in form of 5 studio albums and 10 mix-tapes. As usual, Nappy Roots examine our alienable rights, reason, and truth through lyrical originality and voyage.

Mr. Gnome and (POSI) FAC + TION at the Pinhook - May 27th

Come out for an incredible night of music on May 27th at the Pinhook.  Inspired by a taste for the surreal, Cleveland's Mr. Gnome has been creating a singular amalgam of gritty, space-psychedelia since 2005, gaining them an ever-growing cult following across North America and Europe, as well as praise from the likes of Rolling Stone, Paste, Spin, Bust, and more.

(POSI)* FAC + TION is a live quintet with ‘ambitious, danceable rock, which keys on loose hiphop vocals and quirky keytar embellishments’ ~(Spencer Griffith, INDY WEEK), featuring Adisa McKenzie of TripKnight.  Doors at 8pm, show at 9pm.  Get Tickets.

Caravansary album by the Black Rock City Allstars

This year's Black Rock City Allstars album Caravansary is free to download as a gift to every one.  This album is amazing and we feel honored to be a part of it.  The track featuring L. Cooper and Adisa McKenzie is here.  It was amazing to perform this song out at Burning Man because there was  rain, hail and lightning early in the week, quite a phenomenon for the desert in August. Enjoy!
