L. Cooper at Illegal Oct. 17th

Durham resident L. Cooper can be found with her hands in just about every facet of the artistic scene in this town. A talented vocalist, producer, and dj, she can be found leading Deep Listening workshops, organizing film festivals, hyping open mic night, and holding it down for Freestyle Palace at burning man every year. She has her fingers on the pulse of the underground, so expect the unexpected.

Party Illegal is excited to finally welcome Raleigh house music legend Marshall Jones to our fine city. With over 15 years experience, Marshall Jones is a wellspring of knowledge about the history and the culture of the house music scene. Repping Sound Cartel and DanceGruv radio, his set is sure to be a cohesive sound journey.

DJ Shahzad is a long time pillar of the Durham music scene. He is the resident dj for Toon and the Real Laww, can be found at numerous Runaway Clothing events, and has the music selection and scratching abilities to hang with the best. He sets the tone for the area, and we can't wait to see what fresh cuts he has in store for us.

Party Illegal and Durty Durham organizer Treee City's original productions have just been getting better and better. He is the master of the beat cypher, with lead roles in both Foundry in Durham and the more international Top Cats. Last time he played Illegal he dropped a set of entirely North Carolina tracks on us. Durham would truely not be the same without his tireless enthusiasm and organizational prowess.
